What do we do?

Legal Capacity Training was established in 2014 with the fundamental founding principle to promote equality and human rights principles within health and social care practice. We support statutory, voluntary and independent organisations to implement their obligations with regard to international and domestic law relating to legal capacity and equality and human rights. Our main areas of service provision are training, consultancy, advocacy and decision – making supports.

What information do we collect?

In the course of our work we collect the following information:

Name
Contact details – email address, business address, phone number.
Payment details of customers.
We may collect information about you and your use of our website via technical means such as cookies, and other analytics tools. We use this as necessary for our legitimate interests in administering our website and to ensure it operates effectively and securely. How do we use this information?

In the course of our work we use your information in the following ways:

We might place your email address on our contact list to forward you information of impending courses. Once you receive this email you can choose to unsubscribe from such emails.
We may collect information directly from you, or through a third party. If a third party collected your name and contact details, we will process your professional data based on legitimate interests to send you information on our courses. We will always respect any communication preferences you give us thereafter.
We might use your contact details to follow up on queries you may have or to forward you additional information post training.
We will keep and use your information to carry out our contract with you (if applicable) in order to comply with any legal requirements.
We will not share your name or contact details with third parties for the purposes of marketing. We do use third party service providers to send out our marketing, but we only allow them to use that information on our instructions and where their privacy policy states that they will treat the information confidentially and to keep it secure.


How do we share information?

Pay Pal:
We use a third party i.e. Pay Pal to help us deliver our service. When you purchase a course through Pay Pal you provide them with the necessary details to complete the transaction.

We collect and use information for the services we have described in order to fulfil our contractual obligations, fulfil our terms and conditions, to comply with our legal obligations and which are necessary legitimate interests of the company.

 

Data Retention.

We retain your personal information as long as it is required to complete our legal obligations. We will also retain your personal information in order to inform you of on – going courses. You have the option to unsubscribe from any contact list.

Transferring Data.

We do not transfer your information globally.
